About

     Janice M. Warren is a passionate art educator, visual artist, community advocate, wife & mother. She is a native Houstonian and earned her BA in Fine Arts from Texas Southern University in 1999. She later earned her teaching credentials from LeTourneau University in 2008 and in 2018, she completed her LoneStar LEND Fellowship (Leadership Education in Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) from the University of Texas Health and Science Center.

     Janice has always strived to be a positive role model and impact her community in a variety of ways which includes ministry leadership, community involvements, and facilitating creative workshops for audiences of all backgrounds. Janice also loves using her LEND training to assist families that she serves by spreading autism awareness, sharing resource materials, and promoting developmentally appropriate art activities for all ages and abilities. Janice has more than 30 years of teaching experience. In 2015, she founded Aesthetically Artistic – “Art from the Heart” a therapeutic, exploratory, and exciting art program for children, adults, and seniors that encourages creative self-expression and inclusion. Janice believes that art therapy serves as a vital tool for healing.

     Janice is the mother of three beautiful daughters Maya, Emily, and Hannah. Hannah her youngest was diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder in 2012. Janice has been the proud recipient of numerous artist grants and awards and continues to be actively involved in art exhibitions and craft shows. Janice is most known for her love for mosaic art in which she entitles them, “Magical Mosaics”. In her spare time Janice enjoys spending time with her husband, visiting parks with her daughters, and working in her garden.
